Hellooooo... is this thing on?

The past two years in Portugal made it very hard to use my blogger account.  I could not get it to switch to English instructions.  So, I just put off blogging until I moved back to the states.  I'm back!  :)  I've been back for several months, actually.  I'll do a little bit of catch up in the future, but I want to share a few things that I am excited about this year:

1)  My Tennessee Roadtrip and Photographic Adventure!  Book your session, today!

2) WEDDINGS!  I am so excited for wedding season!  I am teaming up with one of my very best friends and an amazing photographer, Amber D. Duff Photography for a few events!  I look at my wedding work and I am very proud of what I have captured for my clients!

Pre-Deployment Photos for LeeAnna & John

Deployments tug at my heart strings. I have always volunteered to take homecoming pictures at the airport for my friends, but these Pre-Deployment photos really make me happy! Celebrating the service of your spouse is something that military spouses are constantly doing, but deployments make it all a little more real. When your spouse is leaving behind the comfort of his lover's arms, his warm bed, this temperature-controlled life as we know it, missing milestones with his child... and laying his life on the line to defend something that we can't even see and we all take for granted, it fills your heart with so many emotions! This couple has a positive attitude about the deployment... and a strong will to survive it together, while so many miles apart! These photos celebrate the love that John and LeeAnna have together and I hope they will help fill the void of one another until they are together, again! <3

Richelle + Emery = Engaged!

Meet Richelle and Emery! They are such a sweet couple. Both of them are active duty members of the U.S. Air Force! I love their photos! Isn't love grand?

Going Pro

My journey in photography got more serious when I asked my husband, Craig, for a really nice camera for Christmas. Well, three months later we found out we were moving to the Azores (an island called Terceira, actually) and that there are not many jobs for military spouses. So, I decided to make a go for professional photography. I've worked as hard as I can to really learn my camera and to learn everything I can get my hands on about photography and photo editing. I know that I will keep on learning, but I am now making money and word of mouth is making my last few weeks in Albuquerque a busy time. Everyone I know seems to want photos before I move! It's official: I'm going pro!
